McDonald’s Reveals Official Minecraft Movie Meal, Including Exclusive Collectibles 'Crafted Just for Adults'

McDonald’s has announced A Minecraft Movie crossover in the UK and Ireland, with a range of limited-time exclusives aimed at adults.

The limited-time promotion, which kicks off on March 26 ahead of the film’s launch in early April, includes a limited-edition A Minecraft Movie Meal (£8.19), an Apple Cake McFlurry (£2.19), and the limited-edition Nether Flame Sauce (£1.69).

Every meal comes with one of six exclusive collectibles "crafted just for adults," McDonalds said. The McDonald's-themed Minecraft toys are: Grimace Egg, Zombie Hamburglar, Birdie Wings, Fry Helmet, Soda Potion, and Big Mac Crystal.

The Meal features a Big Mac or nine McNuggets or four Veggie Dippers, plus your choice of side and carbonated drink, plus the exclusive collectible.

The Nether Flame Sauce is “inspired” by the Nether with crushed red pepper and flaming cayenne, balanced with hints of garlic and sweetness.

The Apple Cake McFlurry, meanwhile, is soft dairy ice cream swirled with apple and shortcake pieces, and finished with a sour apple sauce.

There is no mention of a kid-focused Minecraft Happy Meal, which means parents of young children will face the prospect of forking out more money than usual when they inevitably ask for the collectible.

Promotions for A Minecraft Movie are ramping up with the film’s April 4 release date just weeks away. The new Minecraft Movie Lego sets, which include Lego Jack Black as Steve, were recently revealed. And there is of course A Minecraft Movie-themed popcorn bucket.
