Need help connecting irrigation timers between fixed PVC pipes and wall mounted manifold

I'm setting up some irrigation and hit a plumbing problem that I'm probably overthinking. I've got a manifold mounted to my wall with 3/4" hose threads, and PVC pipes coming up from the ground underneath it. I Need to put timers on each line between the pipe and the manifold. The problem is that both ends are fixed in place so I can't just thread the timer on - getting the PVC pipe the correct length makes the timer not fit as you move it into position. I'm thinking maybe a short piece of flexible hose would work? Connect one end, bend it while positioning the timer then let it spring back straight when the timer is in place. Anyone dealt with this before? What's the normal way to handle this situation without disconnecting the manifold from the wall? submitted by /u/unqualified_redditor [link] [comments]
