Oblivion Remastered duplication glitch, explained
Oblivion Remastered might have inherited a lot of elements from the original release of 2006, but the duplication glitch doesn't appear to be among them. Anyone who has played the original The Elder Scrolls 4 will know exactly what this glitch was and how to manipulate it (don't worry, I have an explainer). Sadly, it doesn't seem to work in the Remastered version (no matter what you do). Let's find out more about what the duplication glitch was, how it worked, and why it continues to be a popular choice among players. Oblivion duplication glitch explained The duplication glitch has become a matter of myth in The Elder Scrolls universe, and it typically works with scrolls. You have to have two or more copies of the same scroll. Then, open your inventory and highlight the stack of scrolls by selecting them once. Next, highlight an item that you want to duplicate and drop it from your inventory. While you dropped one copy/stack of the item, there will be multiple copies of that item for you to pick up. With this method, you can obtain multiple copies of any items that are provided by that scroll. Scrolls are the best option for best results. However, you can use the same method with Skull of Corruption for any items that have no weight or items that respawn. The method is also known to work pretty well with stolen items. If it doesn't work, ensure that the item has 100% durability. While there are instances where the duplication glitch fails to work properly, it's still very much available on the current build of the original Oblivion. Can you use the duplication glitch in Oblivion Remastered? As of writing on April 23, you can't perform the duplication glitch by any means. I have tested with some of the different ways you could perform them in the older version. Sadly, Bethesda seems to have patched it out with the Remastered version. I also tried to find out if someone else had managed to make it work. Unfortunately, there's no way to utilize the duplication glitch in Oblivion Remastered. This could change in the future with a patch, but for now, there's no possible way for you to multiply the number of items present in your inventory. If you don't care about glitches and have already got started, make sure to check out details about all the Birthsigns to make the best choice possible.
