Old rusted out floor drain
Got this old rusted out floor drain in my basement, don't have water issues and I don't thing this drain has seen water in many years. Definitely not the last 3 that I've been in this house. I'm wanting to finish this closet space and have just some lvp I'm going to throw in there. What would be the best way to deal with this drain. The house itself is sloped away from this drain due to some foundation issues I've already addressed. As you can see there is already carpet where the previous owners finished the rest of the basement so if there were a flood I would be essentially screwed anyway. Not that I think any water would go down this FD. I'm thinking just fill it in and even the surrounding area out with the rest of the floor and call it good. What are your suggestions? submitted by /u/Kind-Shake-9511 [link] [comments]
