Only NY Celebrates Legacy of the Beastie Boys With New Collection
Only NY has teamed up with UMG's Bravado for a special collaboration that celebrates the legacy of the Beastie Boys. The collection focuses on the group's To the 5 Boroughs album, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in June 2024, and illustrated by co-founder Micah Belamarich. Making up the capsule are graphic T-shirts commemorating the Beastie Boys' roots in New York City, a photo T-shirt shot in the Lower East Side and a tribute to the late Adam "MCA" Yauch and his love of basketball. Rounding out the collection is a Streetball cap that features similar design features to the basketball T-shirt."Growing up in New York, Beastie Boys played a key role in our music rotation. I remember my group of friends reciting lines of their verses in the school yard and on the train as we moved through the city. This collaboration is a full-circle moment for us—creating something intimate and special for our customers and for fellow Beastie Boys fans who may not have heard of us. Our co-founder, Micah, illustrated two t-shirts and a polo hat in the collection as a homage to Beastie Boys' lasting legacy, seen both in NYC and at Only NY,” Micah and Julian, the co-founders of Only NY, said in a statement. The limited-edition drop is available now in-store and via the Only NY webstore.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
