Power abattery only device with 120v

I have a small lamp that runs on double A batteries. Is there a way I can run the lamp off of a power chord instead? I don't mind splicing wires or other rough solutions - aesthetic appearance isn't relevant. Please give me a breakdown of the how to steps.
