PVC Condensate Drain Modification

Looking for advice on how best to modify my PVC condensate drain so that I can actually clean it out, (or maybe you can recommend a better way to clean it) see photos here: https://imgur.com/a/VDY9LIE It is clogged with something and I cannot get my wire pipe cleaner past the first elbow or determine where the clog is. There is only an inch or two for me to work with at the drain opening. I have been using 30% vinegar to try and clear the line, and it gets me to the slightest trickle, but I need a real solution because it just clogs again. I believe my condensate drain line is manifolded into my gas-fired furnace (the black box) which presumably also drains water. I'm not sure if I can bypass that or if it is a potential CO hazard. I have no previous experience with cutting or gluing PVC but it seems like it would be relatively simple, the question mostly being what modifications to make. It might make sense to switch to some sort of clear plastic hose so I'm not in the dark about future clogs. I'm looking for the simplest possible solution because I will probably be replacing this unit in the next 5 years. Thanks for any help! submitted by /u/Randyd718 [link] [comments]
