Masters Toronto, VALORANT’s second international tournament in 2025, will kick off next week at Toronto’s Enercare Centre as 12 teams compete for glory.

From June 7th to 22nd, the top three squads from every VCT region will compete for the event’s $1m (~£769,171) prize pool. Moreover, the VCT Stage 1 winners have earned a direct spot in the Playoffs.

With all regional Stage 1 events concluded, here are all 12 VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025 teams.

VCT China

VCT China saw several unexpected results in Stage 1. First, 2024 Champions winner EDward Gaming (EDG) was eliminated early during the Playoffs despite a dominant Group Stage.

On top of that, the region witnessed the rise of underdog — XLG Esports. The Ascension 2024 team barely missed first place within Group Omega during the Group Stage and then moved on to a flawless Playoffs run.

XLG defeated Nova Esports (2-0), EDward Gaming (2-0) and Wolves Esports (2-0). Throughout its journey to the very top of VCT China, the underdog only dropped a single map, winning the Grand Final against Bilibili Gaming 3-1.

Meanwhile, Bilibili experienced serious opposition from another underdog, Wolves Esports. During their first Playoffs encounter, Wolves kicked its opponent into the lower bracket.

However, Bilibili successfully took revenge in the Lower Bracket Final, leaving Wolves to claim third place in Stage 1. Despite the losses, Bilibili Gaming and Wolves Esports have secured a valuable spot at Masters Toronto.

VCT Americas

Unlike VCT China, the Stage 1 tournament in the Americas region offered fewer surprises. Despite a promising Group Stage performance, underdog KRÜ Esports fell short of qualification in the Playoffs.

Meanwhile, Masters Bangkok 2025 contestants G2 Esports and Sentinels continued their dominance within the region. Throughout Stage 1, G2 only lost one series when it was kicked into the lower Playoffs bracket by Sentinels (2-1).

However, G2 made a comeback, defeating 100 Thieves (2-1), Evil Geniuses (2-1) and MIBR (3-1). Unbothered by its previous loss, the roster won its rematch against Sentinels (3-1) to secure first place in Stage 1.Brazilian team MIBR took the final Masters qualification spot in Americas after falling victim to the G2 revenge run in the Lower Bracket Final.

VCT Pacific

Pacifc was arguably the most competitive region during VCT Stage 1. Filled with upsets and comebacks, Stage 1 left many event favourites in the dust.

Its Group Stage saw the unexpected dominance of VCT newcomers BOOM Esports, with its 5-0 final match score. In the meantime, the top four teams in Group Omega all ended on a 3-2 match score.

The Playoffs then shocked the Pacific VALORANT community with two surprising developments. First, BOOM crumbled under the Playoffs pressure and was eliminated early by Gen.G Esports (0-2) and Paper Rex (0-2).

The second surprise was Paper Rex’s comeback after a devastating underperformance in the Group Stage. With its 2-3 match score, the roster had to start the Playoffs in the lower bracket.

In spite of low expectations from fans and analysts, Paper Rex defeated Masters Bangkok winner T1 (2-1), BOOM and DRX (2-0) to secure an unlikely place at VALORANT’s international tournament.

In the Lower Bracket Final, however, the squad was ultimately defeated by Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) (3-2).

RRQ had been kicked into the lower bracket by Gen.G (0-2) but took revenge against the Korean team, winning the event 3-1 and becoming Pacific champion.

VCT EMEA

EMEA was the last region to conclude its Stage 1 tournament. Although plagued by tech issues in the Group Stage, the event saw fairly consistent performances throughout its duration.

Still, EMEA fans were treated to a highly competitive rivalry between Team Heretics and Fnatic. The two first met in Group Alpha, where Heretics defeated Fnatic to lead the Group Stage with a 5-0 match score.

In the Playoffs, Fnatic managed to turn things around with an undefeated upper bracket run. The roster took out FUT Esports (2-0) and Team Liquid (2-1) early on.

Heretics also started off strong in the Playoffs, but the Spanish team failed to replicate its victory against Fnatic in the Upper Bracket Final (0-3). Heretics had to face Group Omega leader Team Liquid in the Lower Bracket Final (3-0) to get another chance at the Stage 1 trophy.

However, Heretics were once again defeated by its rival in the Grand Final. With a dominant 3-0 final performance, Fnatic only dropped one map throughout its Playoffs winning streak.
