Replacing Rotted Wood in Immovable Pillars
Hi All, I rent a house which has a patio with pillars made of limestone (not cinderblock). It appears they placed these 2x4s in when these pillars were placed. Now much of the wood has rotted. As someone who doesn't own this house but would like to help this situation if I can. How the heck can I replace these 2x4s without moving these beams?!? The pockets that the wood places into range from 1 inch deep to 4 inches deep (see photos). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance submitted by /u/Kevone215 [link] [comments]
