I was gifted this beautiful jewellery box and not sure how to treat it right

’m a complete beginner and I’m worried about causing further damage. I don’t know much about the box other than it has a made in Japan sticker on the bottom and plays music when you pull out the bottom drawer. Would teak oil help bring up the finish of the exterior wood? I’m also unsure of what to do about the scratch on the top of the box. I’d ideally like to keep the original stain as it’s gorgeous and I don’t think I could recreate the ombré affect. For the interior, it looks like it’s easier to just pull out the felt pieces and replace them. I also looked at flocking kits but unsure if it’s appropriate for a beginner? If so, would standard felt work? I love the yellow colour so would like to match this. I plan to make some ring holders for one of the drawers and then create sections with wood sticks. But any advice on any part is appreciated! submitted by /u/Lustralxx [link] [comments]
