Severance Renewed for Season 3
Lumon Industries continues to profit. Apple TV's hit TV show 'Severance' has been renewed for a third season. The original show, which premiered its season two finale today, has soared to new heights in popularity. Originally landing 14 Emmy nominations for the first season, fans had to wait three years for season two, which reportedly cost $20 million USD per episode to make. Though no official release date has been announced yet, it looks like you can expect a much shorter waiting period. “Making ‘Severance’ has been one of the most creatively exciting experiences I’ve ever been a part of,” said executive producer and director Ben Stiller in a statement. “While I have no memory of this, I’m told making season three will be equally enjoyable, though any recollection of these future events will be forever and irrevocably wiped from my memory as well.” Severance is a corporate sci-fi thriller that follows a team at Lumon Industries led by Emmy Award-winning actor Adam Scott. At the company, employees undergo a "severance" procedure that surgically separates memories between work and personal lives. As a result, the surgery represents a philosophical take on "work-life" balance. However, the experiment is not as simple as it may seem.
