The Pokémon Company announced Friday that a new update is launching in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket on March 27. It’ll add the Shining Revelry booster back and the first season of the game’s ranked matches. Notably, the Shining Revelry booster pack adds Shiny Pokémon to the game digital trading card game, including the likes of Charizard ex, Pachirisu, and Lucario ex. As you might expect, the cards do indeed sparkle and shine.
The booster pack will also include Pokémon trainers and Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. From The Pokémon Company:
To celebrate the launch of Shining Revelry, players can participate in new ex Starter Deck missions from Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 11:00 p.m. PDT to Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 10:59 p.m. PDT. Players can complete in-game missions to receive a deck ticket that can be exchanged for one of nine starter decks. Once a starter deck is chosen, the 20 cards included in it will be added to the player’s card collection.
In total, the Shining Revelry adds more than 110 cards, including immersive cards.
This is in addition to ranked matches, which begin March 27 at 11 p.m. PT and run until April 26 at 10:59 p.m. PT. “In ranked matches, Trainers can battle against players of similar skill levels from around the world—and receive an emblem based on their end-of-season rank for display on their player profile,” The Pokémon Company wrote in a news release.
