Small cement backer board on kitchen wall for tile splashback?
Our turn of the last century house has plaster and lathe walls. In the kitchen they screwed.what seems to be hardboard to the studs. Now we don't currently have time to move cabinets to replace all the hardboard but we have a new range coming soon as we would like to have a splashback. Could we screw in a small piece of cement backer board to studs throught the hardboard so we can tile it between the range top and the range hood? I know it's not ideal but the wife would like some tile work up. Does anyone have any other suggestions? submitted by /u/BritOverThere [link] [comments]
