Team Vitality maintains its position as the top-standing team on Valve’s Counter-Strike 2 regional standings (VRS) for June. The organisation has held this position since it first climbed to the top back in April.
The current rankings released by Valve will determine invites for Counter-Strike events such as Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Cologne and this year’s Esports World Cup.
In the June update, Team Vitality is the number one team on Valve’s rankings, followed by MOUZ (1922), Team Spirit (1905), Falcons (1888) and The MongolZ (1790).
These are all the members of Vitality’s active roster as listed on VRS.
- Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire – Captain
- Mathie ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut
- Shahar ‘flameZ’ Shushan
- William ‘mezii’ Merriman
- Robin ‘ropz’ Kool
- Rémy ‘XTQZZZ’ Quoniam – Coach
With 2124 points, Team Vitality’s current rank means it will be invited to the upcoming Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Cologne 2025, starting on July 27th. The IEM tournament will see the top 24 teams from VRS compete for the lion’s share of a $1m (~£780,000) prize pool, with first place earning $400,000 (~£312,000) in winnings.
As a result, the likes of Ninjas in Pyjamas (21), BIG (22), paiN (23) and FlyQuest (24), have qualified for the event in Germany. The latter, however, only qualified by one point, finishing ahead of 25th-placed Lynn Vision.
The top 15 VRS teams will also be invited to the Esports World Cup 2025 in Riyadh, alongside Asian Champions League winner TYLOO, for its Counter-Strike in event.
Team Vitality in 2025: One of the best Counter-Strike Teams?
Team Vitality has been on an incredible run so far in 2025, placing first in multiple Counter-Strike events in the past five months.
Its most recent achievement was placing first at IEM Dallas 2025, which concluded on May 25th. In it, the organisation defeated MOUZ 3-0 across Dust II, Mirage and Inferno, claiming the jackpot prize of $125,000 (~£97,500).
Team Vitality was also awarded the ESL Grand Slam prize in 2025, as a result of winning four top-tier events organised by ESL in less than a year. For the team’s efforts, Team Vitality was awarded $1m(~£780,000).
