Tile missing behind light fixture
Hello! We had our bathroom completely redone "professionally" in 2022. I decided to paint the bathroom and to replace the light fixture. The original light fixture was too big for the space and was hung slightly off center. It was subtle, but it drove me crazy. We should have immediately gotten a different one, but we were broke and I was super pregnant and we just rolled with it. Hindsight is 20/20. I recently bought a light fixture that is a better fit for the space and our (slightly funky) style. We have other lights from the same company. We just removed the old light and the tile work is a mess behind the mount. I don't know how it was supposed to be done, but I don't think it was done well. I am not sure if we could put something between the light and the wall to cover the ugly or if we have to try to find the tile. I am not against a thin piece of black metal or something going in behind it. Trying to not spend a lot of money and hoping for a simple but nice-looking fix. Any insights would be appreciated! submitted by /u/inordinate-fondness [link] [comments]
