What to Watch This Weekend (February 28-March 2)

Entertainment has hit critical mass over the last decade, with more shows and movies being produced and released than ever before. It’s impossible to keep up with everything hitting the digital space, whether it be Premium Video on Demand (PVOD) or a traditional streaming network. With that in mind, we figured it was well past time for us to whip up a little something to help you keep up (and catch up) with all there is to watch in the big, wide world of digital viewing. And thus, the Streaming Rewind was born!

We’ll update this list at the end of each week so you can check out what you may have missed, and what’s coming up on the weekend. We’ll keep it a mix of popular releases and noteworthy lesser-known titles to help you find what’s worth taking the risk on as well as dive into a few things that we loved and why we loved ‘em, or just break down a show or movie that left us with some opinions. Sometimes, we’ll even have guest entries from other members of the IGN staff. If you’re not interested in all that and just want to see a bulleted list of what’s out there, pop on down to the New and Noteworthy and ICYMI sections.

Damnit, Shoresy (Season 4 on Hulu)

Shoresy and the Blueberry Bulldogs return for a debaucherous off-season as the former team captain (that’s Shoresy, played by Jared Keeso) tries to figure out what he’s going to do with his life now that he’s retired from hockey and the Bulldogs have their championship. It’s another strong season for the Letterkenny spin-off, even if their trademark montages get a little tired this year. This might also be the first season where Shoresy doesn’t cry, which is a pity, because it’s one of the best parts of the series. However, we get plenty of the tough guy trying to figure out his emotions so I guess it all works out OK.

Severance Gets Spiritual (Apple TV+)

This week’s Severance episode gives us a whole host of new information on what’s going on in the lower floors of Lumon, but not without also introducing us to a bunch of new questions. “Chikhai Bardo” gives us a split timeline from multiple perspectives, but amidst the chaos are some big hints that might lead us to answers on the series’ biggest mysteries.

It’s Oscar Weekend (ABC and Hulu)

The Oscars are here, alongside the swirling debates that always come along with the biggest award show in town. We’ll find out this Sunday whether or not we’ll see some shakeups in the winners or if it will be another par for the course year for the Academy Awards as they head into their 97th show. Will your fave win? Will my fave win? Do we have the same faves? Who can say. The only thing for sure is that, come Monday, people will be mad. Check out the full list of Oscar 2025 nominations.
