Where to mount a door stop? Skirting board vs door
Traditionally I see door stops mounted (screwed) to the skirting board. The wall-mounted kind, not the ones embedded into the floor However, my interior doors seem pretty solid around the edges, so in my mind it would make sense to mount the door stop directly to the door itself. This way the door stop would swing with the door, allowing it to be easily moved out of the way for the vacuum cleaner etc. Is there a compelling reason why almost all door stops I see are mounted to the skirting board and not the door? submitted by /u/invertedkiwi [link] [comments]
