A stick went through my siding. What should I do?
So, when mowing the lawn, the mower shot a stick like a harpoon straight through the vinyl siding of my house and almost an inch into the wall behind it. I know very little about building houses, so I don't know what the material behind it was, exactly - it sort of looks like old wood, but wrapped in tinfoil. I feel pretty confident that I can fix the siding, either with a patch or with some extra if there is still some lying around, but do I need to do anything to address the hole in the layer underneath before doing that? submitted by /u/tjeckz [link] [comments]
