Advice Needed - Retaining Wall For Paver Patio
Howdy folks! My wife and I have been working towards an 8' x 16' paver patio as an extension for our concrete patio in the back of our house. There's an existing grade away from both the patio and foundation of the house, hence the need for a small retaining wall to level the area for the pavers. Currently the 1st layer of stones to the left are almost completely below ground, but moving right they are more and more exposed and eventually above ground level. I'm concerned that without the entire 1st layer of the wall being at least partially below the ground, this won't be structurally sound to begin adding paver base behind it. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated! Am I correct in thinking this won't hold up / would be prone to wash out? If so, any ideas on how we could course correct?
