Advice on how to deal with concrete step
Hi everyone, We recently replaced the carpet in our dining room with laminate flooring and are now unsure how best to deal with an exposed concrete step in front of our fireplace. Our initial idea was to box it in with MDF and paint it, repainting the fireplace to match. However, we’re not certain if that’s the best approach. We’ve been finishing the laminate with scotia beading, but I’m concerned that using MDF might leave a visible gap between the MDF and the skirting boards at either end of the step.
