Red Bull Kumite 2025 brought some of the biggest Street Fighter 6 players to Paris to compete in an intense invite-only tournament, resulting in Adel ‘BigBird’ Anouche taking home the majority of its €50,000 (~£42,700) prize pool.

Pro players like Saul Leonardo ‘MenaRD’ Mena Segundo, Daigo ‘The Beast’ Umehara, BigBird and Kakeru competed in the intense tournament over the weekend, but it was ultimately BigBird who beat out the 15 other players, including long-time veterans and newcomers alike.

The Grand Final ended up being BigBird versus EndingWalker, but the veteran from UAE brought his signature Rashid, allowing him to have a major comeback against the UK fighter. The final result was a 5-3 victory, an unsurprising result for the long-time competitor who previously eliminated EndingWalker from EVO 2024 as well.

While some fans were disappointed to not see the underdog rise up to the occasion at Kumite, it was yet another well-deserved win for BigBird. This is the pro’s second Red Bull Kumite win, which had many calling him the ‘final boss’ of the tourney.

BigBird previously made it to the Grand Finals of EVO 2024, losing only to fan-favourite Victor ‘Punk’ Woodley. He then claimed fourth place at East Coast Throwdown 2024. After dominating in the Middle East, BigBird qualified for Capcom Cup 11, where he had disappointing results.

BigBird has now turned that momentum on its head after the Red Bull Kumite victory, making it a great start to the 2025 season.

Red Bull Kumite 2025 Results

BigBird ultimately took the title at Red Bull Kumite 2025, but here are the full results for the Top 8:

  • 1st: Reject | BigBird (Rashid)
  • 2nd: Mouz | EndingWalker (Ryu)
  • 3-4th: WBG | MenaRD (M. Bison, Blanka)
  • 3-4th: RB | Bonchan (Akuma)
  • 5-8th: TM | NoahTheProdigy (Luke)
  • 5-8th: KC | Kilzyou (Mai)
  • 5-8th: Zeta | Kakeru (JP)
  • 5-8th: G8S | Gachikun (Rashid)

The competition was extremely fierce at Red Bull Kumite 2025, with intense storylines and a lot of glory on the line. EndingWalker’s fans couldn’t help but notice the raw disappointment on his face when he lost the very close final fight. There were many close matchups throughout the tournament, as well, with the gap seeming to be getting smaller between the top players and the scene’s rising talent.

One disappointing performance, however, was Daigo’s. The top player from Japan ended up dropping the ball at Red Bull Kumite 2025, missing the top eight.
