Any ideas on how to save 6 chairs for under $150?

My wife and I bought a set of 6 chairs and a nice glass top table for $50. But the chairs were all sun rotted and the paint color is… interesting. So I started looking at fabric and there isn’t a place online that sells pre-sewn fabric for any less than we could buy new chairs (we don’t have a sewing machine). Next, I thought about welding some bars across and putting cushions on top. Bar stock alone would cost $180 (from the hardware store) to have enough to make cross bars and then we have to find cushions that’ll be comfy enough for metal bars. Lastly, I thought about straps, but we decided we would rather buy new chairs because they don’t look or feel good. I hate buying new things, but when a 6 pc set from Costco is on sale for $175, it’s hard to justify spending this much money on repairing something like this. submitted by /u/br1ck_city4 [link] [comments]
