Basement sealant paint advice

My house was built in 1924 and has a stone foundation. There is a concrete floor, but I’m not sure when it was poured. Anyway, the basement (with the help of a dehumidifier) has been bone dry since I bought the house 4 years ago. A few months ago a pipe burst and when vacuuming up the water some of the sealant paint in the lowest part of the basement (old uneven floor) chipped. Since then, with every big rain I get an in or two of water in that area. What sealant paint should I be using? Do I need to scrape up as much of the old paint as possible? Anything else I should know? submitted by /u/the-Fun-Ghoul [link] [comments]

  2. Do I need to scrape up as much of the old paint as possible?
