Looking to make money fast in R.E.P.O? Amid the various maps and monsters within R.E.P.O lies one simple goal: make money for The Taxman to save up enough for better weapons and upgrades. Below is a list of top tips to help you make money as fast as possible in the game. In this guide: Extraction Points How to find Extraction Points Choose your last point wisely Stockpile valuables near Extraction Points Transform valuables for transportation Use Extraction Points as a weapon Upgrades Strength upgrade Reach upgrade Weapons Stun Gun Strongest weapons Other Items Cart Placement Certain valuables attract monsters Beware Gnomes Keep Carts out of main pathways Monsters Kill Monsters for extra cash Certain Monsters target valuables Extraction Points Image by Destructoid As you advance to higher levels in R.E.P.O, you’ll start to spawn into maps with multiple Extraction Points. You must meet the quota for each Extraction Point and cannot escape the level until you do so. You cannot fill these Extraction Points with loot simultaneously. Instead, you’ll have to activate them one after another. How to find Extraction Points The first tip is to recognize signs for an Extraction Point. Usually, these are placed in unconnected rooms or dead ends. It’s usually helpful to use your minimap to look out for these potential spawn points. You can also use the Extraction Tracker tool available via the shop, but honestly, it’s not worth your money. Once you know what sort of rooms to look for on the minimap, it will become second nature. When you’re near an Extraction Point, it will emit a sonar noise to indicate it is nearby. Choose your last point wisely Once you fill up your last Extraction Point on a map, the lights will go out, and a swathe of monsters will start to hunt you on your return to the truck. I’ve had instances where my Extraction Point is located past a room with several walkways and dangerous falling zones. As such, running past these types of rooms in the dark with monsters on your tail can be deadly. For this reason, it is sometimes strategic to leave an Extraction Point until last if it is near the truck and in a relatively safe area. Stockpile valuables near Extraction Points Unless a monster follows you, they seldom spawn within Extraction Point rooms. As such, if there is a surplus of valuables in a room adjacent to an Extraction Point, it’s worth piling them next to it even if it hasn't been activated yet. This will save you some time going back and forth between points. It’s especially tactical to do this if the valuables are both large and fragile and not easily transportable via the cart. Transform valuables for transportation When you overload an Extraction Point with loot that succeeds the quota, the chute will transform it into a money bag which you can then take to a different Extraction Point. Sometimes, it’s worth doing this rather than transporting a cart full of jostling items, especially if they are fragile items like diamonds or vases. Use Extraction Points as a weapon Remember that once activated, the Extraction Point will bring down a chute and kill almost anything in its path. If a particularly feisty monster has followed me to the Extraction Point, I’ve managed to bait them into the danger zone. It’s a risky maneuver that can cost you some valuables but can be worth it if you’re stuck without another defense. Upgrades Image by Destructoid You can buy various upgrades at the shop to increase your stamina, strength and more. These upgrades quickly get expensive the more you buy and the further you progress in the game. Whilst the Stamina Upgrade is crucial for escaping monsters, there are two key upgrades you should also prioritize for making money in R.E.P.O. Strength upgrade The Strength Upgrade allows you to grab heavier objects. In R.E.P.O, heavier items usually mean they are more valuable. As such, you’ll be able to grab things like TVs, artwork, statues and even a piano if you’re leveled up enough. These valuables will allow you to meet quotas faster and save up money for more exciting things. Reach upgrade Whilst strength is the most important upgrade to consider for making money, reach can be just as important. Reach Upgrades allow you to hook objects from greater distances. On certain maps, there may be inaccessible areas like balconies, bridges or even roofs. These are often spawn points for valuables that are otherwise inaccessible without the reach upgrades. As such, you should consider investing in both reach and strength for making money in R.E.P.O. Extraction Points

As you advance to higher levels in R.E.P.O, you’ll start to spawn into maps with multiple Extraction Points. You must meet the quota for each Extraction Point and cannot escape the level until you do so. You cannot fill these Extraction Points with loot simultaneously. Instead, you’ll have to activate them one after another.

Choose your last point wisely
Once you fill up your last Extraction Point on a map, the lights will go out, and a swathe of monsters will start to hunt you on your return to the truck. I’ve had instances where my Extraction Point is located past a room with several walkways and dangerous falling zones. As such, running past these types of rooms in the dark with monsters on your tail can be deadly. Stockpile valuables near Extraction Points

This will save you some time going back and forth between points. It’s especially tactical to do this if the valuables are both large and fragile and not easily transportable via the cart.

Remember that once activated, the Extraction Point will bring down a chute and kill almost anything in its path. If a particularly feisty monster has followed me to the Extraction Point, I’ve managed to bait them into the danger zone. It’s a risky maneuver that can cost you some valuables but can be worth it if you’re stuck without another defense.
Upgrades

Whilst the Stamina Upgrade is crucial for escaping monsters, there are two key upgrades you should also prioritize for making money in R.E.P.O.
Strength upgrade
The Strength Upgrade allows you to grab heavier objects. In R.E.P.O, heavier items usually mean they are more valuable. As such, you’ll be able to grab things like TVs, artwork, statues and even a piano if you’re leveled up enough. As such, you should consider investing in both reach and strength for making money in R.E.P.O.
Weapons

There is a multitude of weapons you can buy in R.E.P.O, but they can get on the silly side of expensive, and there’s no way of telling which are truly worth the investment before taking the plunge and buying them. Luckily, I’ve listed below which are worth the time and which are better left on the shelf. Remember that every weapon has a charge and cannot be used after the charge is depleted. You can buy and use Energy Crystals to replenish weapons rather than buying new ones.
Stun Gun
The Stun Gun will immobilize monsters after a few shots, depending on how strong they are. This is extremely helpful if you need to make a quick getaway. You can also follow up with an attack with a melee weapon and kill the monster for extra cash. In the earlier levels, my go-to combo was to stun a monster and then finish it off with the Inflatable Hammer or Baseball Bat.
Strongest weapons
In my experience, the strongest weapons are the Sword and Shotgun. These are capable of killing monsters after just a few shots or slashes. They do require some investment, however, so for earlier levels, I recommend picking up the Baseball Bat.
Grenades are also helpful and can either kill or shock an enemy in one blast, but are a one-time use. I wouldn't bother with any of the others. The Rubber Duck may be tempting, but it’s almost impossible to control. It will just wildly attack anything in the room you put it in, including any nearby valuables.
Other Items

Other than weapons and upgrades, you can also buy items like drones within the shop. It’s good to familiarize yourself with the different items and which are worth your money. The Recharge Drone will recharge your weapons anywhere you place them. This means you don’t have to trek all the way back to your truck if your weapon runs out of charge.
The Zero Gravity Drone helps lift objects and monsters, whereas the Zero Gravity Orb will also lift the player, allowing them to float upwards to higher areas. The Indestructible Drone will attach itself to a valuable object and make it impervious to damage whilst the charge lasts. The Feather Drone will lessen the weight of any object.
In my opinion, almost all of these are a waste of money. You’re better off investing your money into permanently upgrading your strength or reach as you won't be beholden to another battery charge, and you’ll keep all of your precious item slots free for a weapon or health pack.
Cart Placement

Certain valuables attract monsters
When you pick up valuables, some of them move, make noises or, in the case of the child’s doll, outright scream and shake. As such, it’s important to identify these items and place your cart as close as possible next to them. This limits the time they are in the air and making a nuisance of themselves. Other than the doll, the next most annoying object is the hourglass, which slows time whilst being carried. Make sure your cart is nearby, or you’ll have an agonizing wait that will leave you vulnerable to monster attacks.
Beware Gnomes
Gnomes are the worst thing in R.E.P.O. If you hear the telltale clicking noise to indicate they are near, you should work to keep your cart safe, as they will try to destroy all of your valuables. I have noticed that if you are away from your cart and walk toward the Gnomes, they will prioritize attacking you rather than your cart. Sometimes, it's worth dumping your cart away from them and then facing them head-on. Their attacks aren't too damaging, and they’ll break right away if you lift and drop them (you can even throw them at other monsters to damage them).
Keep Carts out of main pathways
Monsters tend to have patrol routes unless they're chasing a player. If you leave a cart within their walking route, they will walk into them and cause damage to your valuables. As such, make sure you pop your cart away from the main pathways and room exits.
Monsters

Kill Monsters for extra cash
If you’ve managed to ransack an entire map and you’re out of valuables to meet your quota, you can kill monsters for extra cash. Upon death, they'll drop a fragile orb that can be worth thousands, depending on the creature type. We have a list of all monsters in R.E.P.O that goes through the cash each monster drops, but essentially, the only monsters that do not drop money are the Gnomes, Peepers and Bangers.
It’s worth noting that monsters can kill other monsters, so if you don't have the means to do it yourself, you can watch and observe to see if this happens. You can bait a monster into another one’s territory. The best monster to do this with is the Duckie Apex Predator, as it will follow you around for a time.
Certain Monsters target valuables
There are a few key monsters to familiarize yourself with, as these will pose more of a danger to your loot. We’ve spoken about Gnomes, but Bangers can also be an inconvenience as they are essentially walking grenades. If you see Bangers, make sure you lead them away from your cart. You can pick them up and throw them if need be.
The Rugrat is also extremely annoying. It will pick up any nearby valuables and throw them at you in an attempt to both damage you and break anything of worth. These can be chased off fairly easily with a few hits from a melee weapon.
The Mentalist will lift you up in the air and drop you back down. It will also lift any nearby valuables and monsters, so make sure you separate yourself from your cart if you see one.
