Genius Sports bolsters esports betting offering with GRID and Bayes Esports

Sports data and technology company Genius Sports has announced a betting-focused partnership with esports data companies GRID and Bayes Esports.

As a result of the deal, Genius Sports will collaborate with both entities to provide data from tournaments to sportsbooks.

According to a release, Genius Sports‘ sportsbook partners will gain access to live streams and exclusive data offered by GRID. The data company works with the likes of Riot Games and BLAST for access to League of Legends, VALORANT, Counter-Strike and Rainbow Six Siege data.

With GRID offering broadcasts and data visualisations, Bayes Esports is also providing Genius Sports with match data from ESL FACEIT Group to offer data covering the company’s most popular esports titles.

Thanks to the partnership and access to a wide range of data, Genius Sports will offer bookmakers ‘an end-to-end esports trading product’ that includes pre-match and in-play markets for tournaments throughout the year.

“As the new home of esports for sportsbooks, we will provide our partners with the highest-quality data and odds on the most prestigious titles in the sport.”

This isn’t the first time that Bayes Esports has collaborated with Genius Sports. Announced in August 2024, the partnership saw Bayes Esports support Genius Sports’ esports offering with its ‘Live Match Data’ solution.

Founded in 2015, Genius Sports is one of the largest sports data companies in the world. Over the past decade, it has partnered with the likes of the NFL and the Premier League alongside bookmakers such as Skybet and Bet365.

For GRID and Bayes Esports, the deal cements their position as two of the biggest esports data companies in the industry. In December 2024, GRID became an associate member of IBIA (International Betting Integrity Association), becoming the first esports company to join.
