The reality of maintaining a long-distance relationship forces Nick and Charlie to confront the future—and whether their love can survive it. Meanwhile, their close-knit group of friends will also face their own turning points, navigating heartbreak, self-discovery, and the inevitable changes that come with growing up.

Who Is in the Heartstopper Movie Cast?

Kit Connor and Joe Locke are set to reprise their roles as Nick and Charlie in the upcoming film. Additional casting details are still under wraps, but fans can expect familiar faces from the series to return, along with potential new characters introduced in the final book. 

Alice Oseman will return as the film’s screenwriter and executive producer, ensuring the final chapter remains faithful to the world fans have grown to adore. Not only are the fan-favorite stars returning, but both Connor and Locke will serve as executive producers on the film.

Filming for the Heartstopper movie is set to begin this summer, but for now, an official release date hasn’t been announced. But there's some confidence the movie will premiere sooner than later. With Season 1 premiering in 2022, Season 2 in 2023, and Season 3 in 2024, the series has thus far followed a pretty steady annual release rhythm.
