Charli XCX Rumored To Be In Talks for Greta Gerwig's 'The Chronicles of Narnia' Netflix Film
While little is known about Greta Gerwig's upcoming The Chronicles of Narnia Netflix reboot film, it looks like a key detail has been revealed. Deadline shared a new casting update that reveals that Charli XCX is expected to join the film as Jadis, the titular White Witch. While nothing has been confirmed just yet, it is rumored that there is a deal coming to fruition. The films were first announced by Netflix in 2018. The projects under the C.S. Lewis' umbrella sees the streaming giant set to develop a series of film projects and series. Gerwig was brought on by Netflix in 2020 to adapt and direct. While it remains in the early stages, the film is set to receive a two-week IMAX global premiere run during the Thanksgiving 2026 weeks.This would be Gerwig's next film following her Barbie project which became Warner Bros.' highest-grossing movie ever. The film scored multiple Oscar nominations as well a win for Billie Eilish and Finneas’ original song "What Was I Made For?" Charli XCX's song "Speed Drive" was also a part of the Barbie film.
