What should I put over my subfloor to prep for LVP, if anything?

https://imgur.com/a/UtVoXa2 Its an old house. This is a converted attic space. This is what was under the carpet, vinyl and kinda-MDF-looking-board we pulled up (not salvageable, it was covered in glue). Want to prep for LVP but the spaces between the subfloor planks are pretty big in some spots. A little over quarter inch. And there are some big knot-holes (top right) that just lead to the space between floors. And then there are dips in the floor just at a 1/4 inch. Obviously need to fill those big knot-holes with foam if we put something like a self leveling concrete. But should we put something else down over instead, like the MDF that was down originally? And the self leveler over that? All the videos I watch, people have a different type of subfloor so Im just having a hard time finding what to do! submitted by /u/UncreativeArtist [link] [comments]
