The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has announced a three-year strategic partnership with Amazon Ads to leverage its advertising and entertainment platforms, aimed at achieving global reach.

As part of the collaboration, the Esports World Cup will introduce branded and fan activations across Twitch, Prime Video, Alexa and Wondery.

The key target markets include the United States, Europe, Brazil, Mexico, the Middle East, North Africa, Turkey, India and Canada. Fans in these countries can look forward to the following during the EWC:

  • Live broadcasts on Twitch
  • Real-time voice integrations via Alexa
  • Immersive, music-driven storytelling through Wondery

“Esports is redefining how a new generation consumes entertainment — always on, always accessible, and deeply social. With Amazon, we are bringing esports into everyday digital lives for millions of people around the world,” said Mike McCabe, Chief Operating Officer at the EWCF.

This is the second consecutive year of partnership between the Esports World Cup Foundation and Amazon, following last year’s launch of the EWC Hub on Amazon.sa and Amazon.ae.

“We are excited to continue our collaboration with EWCF to shape how Esports is experienced globally. Our collaboration will power immersive fan experiences across multiple touchpoints and create exceptional value for brands,” said Rayan Karaky, Managing Director of EMEA & Southeast Asia at Amazon Ads.

“This initiative supports the Kingdom’s position as a world-leading esports hub, and the Vision 2030 ambition to be a leader in digital entertainment and technology,” he added.

Moreover, EWCF has also joined hands with Amazon to announce Level Up, a five-part documentary on Amazon Prime offering a behind-the-scenes look at the Esports World Cup 2024. The 2025 edition of the tournament will return to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 7th to 24th, featuring over 20 titles and a prize pool of over $70m (~£51,705,150).
