Garage door opener acts strange
I replaced my antiquated garage door opener last summer because parts broke on it with a Genie 7155LD. Up till recently it’s been working as it should. But in the last few weeks it has gotten to where it will make an attempt to open, but only lifts about an inch. If I help it with minimal effort it will open and it closes just fine. It will then go back to operating like normal for a day, or a few days, to several weeks before it does that again. Do I just need to put some 3 in 1 oil on the torsion springs or is this something I need to call someone for? submitted by /u/Tdanger78 [link] [comments]
