Help in finding a solid surface shower walls without seams
I'm doing a bathroom remodel with a corner shower. I'm tired of battling moldy grout and decided to go with solid-surface walls (and base). What I find confusing is that so many of the kits indicate that one uses silicone (mold magnet) in all the joints/corners. To me, the whole point is to have no seams. Are there any kits where one can fuse cove trim in the corners (and use a router / sander to smooth)? Even better, how about a drop-in shower with rounded cove corners all around? Perhaps this isn't possible along the base because of the potential for flex? I'm prepared to buy a ready-made base and some full sheets of solid-surface panels and just make this myself. Bad idea? submitted by /u/MildlyAmusedAtThat [link] [comments]
