Help needed with choosing the right screw (and wall anchor)
I am trying to mount a shelf onto my reinforced concrete wall (concrete with rebar). It's a shop bought shelf that I assembled. There is a wooden piece that is supposed to be mounted onto the wall permanently, to which the shelf itself attaches in a removable way. The piece has two 5 mm predrilled holes. Supposedly it's made of bamboo. Basically the question is what diameter screw I need, and also whether the screw should have threads all the way through (so screw into the wood piece too and not just the wall anchor) or only partially (screw into only the wall anchor and just sit in the wood piece's holes)? As for the wall anchor, I'll just try to buy a screw & anchor set to solve that part. submitted by /u/po114 [link] [comments]
