Homemade outdoor tap?
So long story short I I added a shut off valve inside to my outside tap so I can isolate it. The frost free tap was woodford model 14 and I cut the end off so I could pull it back into the house and replace it cause it leaked badly. Not realized it was all 3/4 pipe I replaced it with a 1/2 but now I don’t have near the amount of flow to my sprinklers. Being in Canada after shipping and exchange that woodford tap is about 160$. Would it be stupid to make my own 14” tap with 3/4 copper? Just solder some fittings add a spigot on the end of it and call it good? submitted by /u/Marshellohello [link] [comments]
