How do I build an air pump?

Hi all, I have experience in DIY and many side projects but been struggling with how to build an air pump and where to find the resources. I am currently building it for my hydroponic system that is using an air stone and I need a decent amount of air to be pumped through it. Plus I am showcasing my system at a hydro competition where I want it to be visible the work and craft that has been put into the system but the air pump is stumping me at the moment. I currently have 25cm tube with 54mm diameter 2 hole saws 50mm another 75mm Pond liner A syringe with out the pull and push bit And a Air stone Would love some advice or personal experience to be shared just anything that you guys think may help.
