Osaka Castle is one of the larger enemy locations you can visit during the early part of Assassin's Creed Shadows. While the fortress might be intimidating, it holds some great rewards if you know how to complete the area. Below, you can see how to complete Osaka Castle and all the rewards for doing so. How to complete Osaka Castle in Assassin's Creed Shadows First and foremost, Osaka Castle is located on the eastern side of Izumi Settsu, which is the starting region in Assassin's Creed Shadows. The castle is south of Katano and north of Sakai just along the river that runs through Izumi. As with other castles located around the map, you won't be able to just waltz your way through the front gate. The moment you step foot onto the castle grounds, you're treated as hostile, and guards posted at all major entrances will attack. The map view of Osaka Castle in Assassin's Creed Shadows. Just using these trees and their branches, you can hop over the moat and the walls and jump down inside the fortress without alerting any guards. You could also try the brute force approach and kill some guards at a gate, but the decision is up to you. Osaka Castle also features small settlements outside of the main castle grounds, which also have enemies patrolling the area. These settlements are all connected to one of the gates, so if you choose an aggressive route inside, you'll likely have to deal with several enemies. Regardless of how you get inside, Osaka Castle is brimming with enemies, all around levels six to eight, and plenty of small rewards for you to grab. You can find locked buildings that contain resources to smuggle, extra Hideout materials, and loot chests. All of the small buildings that can be freely opened usually have some other loot chests as well that you can use to rack up some gear and Mon in Assassin's Creed Shadows. Your main goal in Osaka Castle, however, is to find and kill three Samurai Daisho. Samurai Daisho are higher-level enemies that have a distinct warrior mask icon above their heads. These special enemies need to be taken out if you want to open the unique chest that completes Osaka Castle and earns you the castle's special rewards. They're also usually around quite a fair amount of smaller guards, so you sometimes have to deal with several enemies while trying to kill a Samurai Daisho. The three Samurai Daisho at Osaka Castle are located all around the castle grounds. They tend to move around a lot, so it can be difficult to know exactly where they're going to be at a given time. The best way to locate Samurai Daisho is by using your Eagle Vision, which transforms your HUD into an infrared scanner that allows you to see red-outlined enemies through walls. Enemies who are in close proximity can be highlighted and marked as well as loot, which is indicated by white and gold dots. To use Eagle Vision effectively, you want to climb up the tall Osaka Castle building that has a fast travel point on top of it. Unlock the fast travel point and then hop down a few floors to get a better view of the entire fortress. From here, use your Eagle Vision and mark any red-outlined enemies you see. Keep moving along the perimeter of the castle, using Eagle Vision to mark enemies. Make sure you look both inside and outside the main castle area, as there are enemies roaming the outside of the castle as well. Getting an eagle's eye view of Osaka Castle and its grounds. All rewards for completing Osaka Castle in Assassin's Creed Shadows
All castles in Assassin's Creed Shadows feature a special chest that can't be opened until you defeat all Samurai Daisho in the area.
This chest is located on the very top floor of the main castle and can be accessed through a board on the roof of the castle near the fast travel point. After going through the board, the chest can be opened in that room.
The chest rewards at Osaka Castle are the Peasant Clothes legendary light armor and the Assassination with Attack Engraving. However, you can also earn a plethora of smaller rewards by looting the smaller chests and resource stashes located around Osaka Castle and on the lower floors of the main castle, which you can access after opening the special Samurai chest.
Once Osaka Castle has been completed, you can move on to another location in Assassin's Creed Shadows or try to complete some main story quests to further advance your character.
