How to get Avowed’s Premium Edition armor and skin sets
Avowed's Premium Edition not only gives you early access to the Living Lands, you'll also get some in-game goodies. The Eora and Obsidian collection set premium skin packs give you a way to spruce up the looks of your companions. However, I also seemed to have access to some unique armor that can give you a useful early-game boost, which I assume also came from the Premium Edition of the game. Here's how to get the Premium Edition armor and skin sets in Avowed. How to get Eora and Obsidian skin packs in Avowed The good news is, as soon as you load up Avowed for the first time, the skin packs will be 'active' and you can get them pretty early on in the game. To equip them, you'll need to establish a Party Camp, which can be done once you've completed the initial 'On Strange Shores' quest and find yourself on the mainland on your way to Paradis. I've circled the location of the first Party Camp you can set up on the map screenshot below. Screenshot by Destructoid When you find a large Adra waystone in the world, walk over to it and interact with it to set up a Party Camp. This will automatically change the time of day to night and allow you to upgrade weapons, access your stash, enchant gear, talk to companions, and change your companion's skins. Once here, you want to look for the Main Camp Tent. It has a bed rolled out on the floor, as shown in the screenshot below. Screenshot by Destructoid Interact with this and you'll then be able to rotate through your available companions and equip either of the Eora or Obsidian skins to them. You can also switch back to their default look if you're not a fan of either, or want a change after a while. Screenshot by Destructoid How to get two unique armor sets early in Avowed As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, I can't be 100% sure that these are part of the Premium Edition of Avowed, as they're not listed in any of Microsoft's marketing materials, but I hadn't done anything in-game to get them. Perhaps they're just there for all players as an early helping hand. Either way, while you're at your Party Camp, go ahead and interact with the large chest, called the Party Stash, just to the right of the tent we just used to change our companion's skins. You can use this to store your unwanted items, but the first time I accessed it, the Engwithan and Obsidian Order armor sets were already in there. Screenshot by Destructoid These sets include three bits of armor, each one providing bonuses when equipped. I've listed each item and its bonus below: Engwithan Cuirass: Slowly regenerate up to 15% of your Maximum Health, 1% of your Attack Damage is restored as Essence Engwithan Gauntlets: -10% Stamina cost while Blocking, +20% Critical Damage Engwithan Greaves: +10% resistance to Poison and Bleed Accumulation, +5% Maximum Stamina, +10% Move Speed Obsidian Order Cuirass: +20 Maximum Health, Your Companions deal +10% Damage Obsidian Order Gauntlets: -10% Stamina cost while Blocking, +3% Critical Hit Chance Obsidian Order Sabatons: +10% resistance to Poison and Bleed Accumulation, +20 Maximum Stamina I used the Engwithan armor set early on. Not only does it have some hefty damage reduction stats, but the boosts it gives you are pretty handy in combat. It is heavy armor, though, so it does reduce your maximum Stamina fairly significantly as a trade-off for the buffs it provides. That's everything you need to know to get Avowed's Premium Edition armor and skin sets. I've been exploring the Living Lands to help guide you with more coverage on where to find the Dawnshore Cartographer, where to find the Voice's memory, and whether or not you should put the relic in the statue in Avowed's Dawntreader side quest.
