I’m looking for ways to secure my son’s bed to the wall.

My son (13) keeps moving the bottom half of his bed away from the wall so it sits at an angle. I’ve let him pick everything out about his room design wise (paint, curtains, posters) and gave him options on where to place the bed. He agreed to it against this wall (we have tried it against the other wall and he liked this setup better) but without fail at least once a week the bottom half gets moved out. He hasn’t been able to explain how or why he does this (he has some special needs, for all I know he kicks the bed away from the wall while he’s sleeping so he’s not doing it on purpose) and aesthetically it’s his room I don’t care. But what happens is because it’s a metal bedframe the boxspring/mattress become unsupported. Also things end up falling between the bed and the wall making it so fixing it becomes a whole project of moving everything out. There’s no way to set the bed in the middle of the room without covering the vent or blocking the doors. So now I’m trying to think of how to secure the bed to the wall. Wasn’t sure if I should just try to find a stud and drill the frame to the wall? submitted by /u/Bskivers [link] [comments]
