League of Legends game developer Riot Games is adding a special mission to honour former professional player Maciej ‘Shushei’ Ratuszniak, who recently passed away after a battle with cancer on April 28th, 2025.

The League community will be able to gain a special ‘Shushei Forever‘ title for free to celebrate the legacy left by the world champion. Moreover, fans will be able to unlock his iconic Fnatic Gragas skin for free by playing three games on the champion.

The mission will be available on the live servers starting today (May 6th).

To unlock the mission, players will have to click the tab on the left side of the screen in the client. The quest is in the bottom right corner alongside the icon of the title to get it.

The skin can be claimed by playing three games on any matchmaking game mode (Swiftplay, Ranked and ARAM). Coop vs. AI matches do not count towards the mission. The mission will be available until June 3rd, 2025.

The former professional player made a name for himself in the early era of League of Legends when he led Fnatic to the first world championship title back in 2011. He was the first player to receive the MVP award.

Despite his long-lasting achievements, Shushei’s career was relatively short. He retired in 2013 after playing for several teams in Europe, including EloHell, DragonBorns and Pulse Esports. Aside from his Gragas, the player was known for playing Alistar in the mid lane as well as other off-meta champions like Evelynn.

Shushei was a key personality in developing a big community in his native country, Poland, helping nurture domestic talents. His funeral took place on May 5th in the chapel of the Roman Catholic Curch of the Resurrection in Bydgoszcz, Poland.

Esports Insider extends its condolences to Shushei’s family and friends.
