Leonardo DiCaprio Is a Wacky Revolutionary in 'One Battle After Another' Official Trailer

Following last week's teaser for the upcoming Paul Thomas Anderson film, Warner Bros. has dropped the official trailer for One Battle After Another. Protagonist Leonardo DiCaprio marks his first time in an Anderson film and stars alongside a star-studded cast that includes Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Sean Penn, Alana Haim, Benicio del Toro, Wood Harris, Shayna McHayle and Chase Infiniti. According to the synopsis of the film, which is semi-inspired by the Thomas Pynchon classic 1990 novel Vineland, DiCaprio's character, Bob Ferguson is a disheveled and wacky revolutionary who is trying to save his daughter. The trailer begins with a shot of Bob in a beanie and a bathrobe making a call on a payphone and answering the person on the other side with a series of passwords. When he forgets once, the person on the other line hangs up, leading to Bob resorting to his own measures to find his daughter. Del Toro appears as Bob's sensei and the trailer ends with DiCaprio shouting, "Viva la revolución," as he and del Toro wage against their enemies. The script is written and produced by Sara Murphy and the late Adam Somner and marks the first starring role for DiCaprio since the 2023 Killers of the Flower Moon historical drama from Martin Scorsese. One Battle After Another lands in theaters on September 26.Read more at Hypebeast
