Metal pet tags using laser engraver?

I’ve been messing around with leather keychains and wood bookmarks and wanna start making metal pet tags next… like the classic round shape or maybe little bones? I’ve mostly been using veg-tan leather and unfinished basswood blanks, just basic stuff for fun, but I’ve gotten pretty decent at engraving initials, florals, even layering paint in recessed areas to make the designs pop. Now I wanna test out doing pet tags, maybe experiment with stainless steel or anodized aluminum, and possibly add tiny paw icons or custom fonts for names.
