Need to level land for a swing set

My wife and I are looking to buy a wooden swing set for our kids and we have a very gradual slope. I have not measured it yet. I would like to avoid getting 4x4s and turning this into a big project. Option 1: measure it out with string and bring it up to grade with dirt. The only issue is that will cause a big mess until I can get grass to grow. Which probably won’t happen for a while cause kids. Option 2: not sure if this will work or if it’s recommended, but I was thinking of getting pavers from Lowe’s and some stone and making all the contact points level with each other.
