Why Isn't Bad Bunny Touring in the US?

Before gracing the Met Gala red carpet, Bad Bunny made headlines by announcing that he's embarking on a world tour, dubbed "Debí Tirar Más Fotos," following his sold-out residency in Puerto Rico. But fans were shocked to see El Conejo Malo didn't have any USA dates listed.

The Puerto Rican singer made the announcement on his Instagram account in a short clip that included the countries that he'll be stopping at. The stadium tour includes 23 dates total and is set to kick off on November 21 in the Dominican Republic, followed by shows in Mexico, Chile, Peru, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Argentina. He'll also be making stops in Japan, Brazil, and Australia, and is also planning on returning to Europe for the first time since his "X 100pre Tour" in 2019.

The Grammy-winning Latin artist surprised his fans a few hours before attending this year's Met Gala, fashion's most illustrious event, wearing a stunning Prada tailored suit complemented with an unusually large bag which's content remains a mystery. The exciting news comes just two months before his 30-date residency, "No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí," in Puerto Rico kicks off in the summer at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum.

As fans celebrate the good news, many realized that the United States was missing from his lineup of tour dates. Many, however, are hopeful that the trap-reggaeton singer will announce U.S. dates during the week, but he hasn't explained why he's not planning on a U.S. leg of the stadium tour. There's speculation circulating among the fans that the current political climate might be the reason why the U.S. wasn't included in the announcement and why it most likely won't be.

Tickets for the "Debí Tirar Más Fotos" world tour go on sale May 9.
