BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 records over 1 million peak viewers

BLAST Rivals Spring 2025, won by Team Vitality, recorded over 1m peak viewers, becoming the most popular Counter-Strike event operated by the Danish tournament organiser which isn’t a Major.

According to esports data platform Esports Charts, the Grand Final between Saudi Arabian esports organisation Team Falcons and French organisation Team Vitality recorded peak viewing figures of 1.03m.

Notably, the two finalists were the most watched teams of the event, with Team Falcons recording 6.9m hours watched and Team Vitality recording 6.2m hours.

Specifically, BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 is the 16th highest viewed Counter-Strike event of all time, behind other non-major events such as IEM Cologne 2024 (1.05m), IEM Melbourne 2025 (1.25m) and IEM Katowice 2025 (1.3m).

The majority of the viewing figures were generated through BLAST’s Twitch and YouTube channels, recording 672,424 and 370,661 across both platforms, respectively. Despite the event being shown across BLAST.tv, Kick and TikTok, none of the three platforms broke 2,000 viewers.

BLAST Rivals Spring marks Team Vitality’s fifth consecutive victory of the Counter-Strike 2 era and cements the organisation’s position at the top of the Valve Regional Standings (VRS). The win also takes the team’s unbeaten streak to 25 matches, the second-longest in the history of Valve’s first-person shooter title.

The impressive viewing figures for BLAST’s Counter-Strike events are a promising sign that 2025 will be a strong year for the tournament organiser.

The next event operated by the tournament organiser is the BLAST.tv Austin Major, the fourth Major of Counter-Strike 2.

Taking place at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, 32 teams from across the world will compete for a share of $1.25m (~£934,293) in prize money and a chance to be crowned Major champion.

While the company is known for its Counter-Strike events, BLAST also operates the Fortnite, Rocket League, and Rainbow Six Siege esports circuits.

Outside of event operations, BLAST continues to expand its partnership portfolio. For the Major, it has secured partnerships with sports fantasy firm Underdog, along with Dell gaming technology brand Alienware.
