Outdoor trim damage repair advice.
I came home from after a couple of weeks out of town and apparently a lot of rain. I immediately noticed damage to the trim around our outside door leading to the garage. It looks like something hit it or scratched at it. Pets don't have access to the area so I don't know. At any rate, the trim is sealed to the stucco around it very cleanly and profesionally painted. I don't want to try and pull the whole door frame away from the stucco and risk making the situation worse. My thought is to use an oscillating tool to cut away the damaged area up to where it's solid and dry, and replace with a piece of pressure treated wood. Then sand and paint. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/Bumpredd [link] [comments]
