Rick and Morty Returns for Season 8 - Here’s How to Watch New Episodes Online

Rick and Morty may have started as just another adult-oriented cartoon, but at some point (pretty early on, if I’m being honest) it became a cultural hallmark. The sci-fi comedy series leans into absurdity, and pretty much anything’s on the table when it comes to the show’s scathing satire. At this point, I’d be caught off guard by anyone who hasn’t at least heard of Pickle Rick.

While there are plenty of self-contained episodes, some storylines have carried over between seasons. Some of the best episodes, like Ricklantis Mix-Up, happen to have follow-ups in the new season. Still, IGN’s review suggests Season 8 may be more of a return to “the old adventure/parody of the week formula.”

If you’re planning to watch the new season of Rick and Morty, here’s everything you need to know to stream new episodes online.

How Many More Seasons Are There?

Rick and Morty was renewed for 70 episodes after Season 3 and an additional two seasons after Season 7. As of now, the series will be continuing at least through Season 12. While not officially confirmed, most seasons have been released within one year of each other, meaning Season 9 could arrive as soon as 2026.

Where to Watch the Full Series

If you’re just trying to catch a Rick and Morty vibe, the Adult Swim website has a free 24/7 livestream of random episodes. Otherwise, the entire series is streaming on HBO Max. Individual seasons are also available on DVD.
