seeking some help with making a palintonos bow and arrows
i have lots of tree limbs harvested from everything from magnolia to cherry to shrubs to cedar and more my tools include a power sander, a compound miter saw, a jigsaw, a dremmel, a heat gun, a power drill, a hand powered drill, and chisels, a hammer with swappable heads for various impact strenghts, and a chainsaw (of these, i think i wont need the chainsaw but im just listing the wood type tools) also is sealing the bow in epoxy a good idea or not? i need to know what tree to use, and what shape to carve also i assume i need to cut the bow along the grain, so the bow has no broken strands in the wood? as for arrows im going for the classic right angle triangle with horn knocks and either flint or agate or similar for the knapped heads, ill also buy some steel head ones for when im first starting out so i dont shatter those submitted by /u/MovieIndependent4697 [link] [comments]
