SEGA SAMMY Holdings, a major Japanese entertainment and gaming conglomerate, has completed its acquisition of GAN Limited, a provider of enterprise Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions for online casino gaming and sports betting.
The deal marks a significant step for SEGA SAMMY as it seeks to strengthen its presence in the global iGaming and online sports betting sectors.
Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Las Vegas, GAN Limited has built a reputation as a well-known B2B supplier of gaming software and technology platforms.
Its GameSTACK platform powers regulated real-money gaming (RMiG) and simulated gaming for casino operators in the US, Europe and beyond.
GAN’s suite of offerings includes online casino games, sports betting solutions, and a remote game server (Super RGS) that allows game developers to distribute content across a wide operator network.
GAN’s technology has enabled the digital transformation of traditional casinos, helping operators launch and manage online casinos and sportsbooks legally and profitably.
The company’s client base includes major US casino operators, with GAN providing both real-money and simulated gaming solutions to extend their brands online.
For SEGA SAMMY, the acquisition of GAN Limited is a strategic move to diversify and expand its global gaming portfolio.
The integration of GAN’s advanced SaaS platforms and expertise in regulated markets allows SEGA SAMMY to capitalise on the digital gaming market, particularly in North America and Europe.
By leveraging GAN’s technology, SEGA SAMMY can offer a comprehensive suite of solutions to casino operators, including turnkey platforms for real-money gaming, sports betting, and simulated gaming experiences.
This move is expected to drive innovation and enhance SEGA SAMMY’s competitiveness in the highly regulated and rapidly evolving iGaming industry.
With the deal now complete, GAN Limited will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of SEGA SAMMY Holdings.
The combined entity is poised to accelerate product development, expand market reach, and deliver enhanced value to casino operators and players worldwide.
