The Dominican Republic is already an incredible vacation destination, full of pristine beaches, picture-perfect palm trees and a long list of incredible resorts, including some of our favorite all-inclusive resorts in the world.
Now, the destination is getting even better: St. Regis, one of the foremost luxury brands, has debuted a new property near Cap Cana, a high-end area near Punta Cana and just a few miles from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ).
The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort, which opened its doors today, has rates starting around $587 or 100,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.
“We are thrilled to debut The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort, bringing the timeless elegance of St. Regis to the Dominican Republic for the first time,” said George Fleck, Senior Vice President and Global Brand Leader, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, in an official statement from the brand. “Set along the pristine shores of Cap Cana, this glamorous new hideaway embraces the island’s breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture while offering the brand’s signature sophistication, bespoke service, and timeless rituals that have defined St. Regis for over 120 years.”
Designed by Chapi Chapo Design, the firm behind projects like Amanyara in Turks and Caicos and St. Regis Kanai in Mexico, this new property has 200 rooms, 36 suites — including swim-up accommodations — and even a 6,500-square-foot presidential suite with two bedrooms.
Across the resort, nine bars and restaurants will keep guests hydrated and full, with dining options ranging from Peruvian cuisine from celebrity chef Diego Muñoz to Mediterranean food, Latin tapas, and poolside dining, to a rooftop bar and the signature St. Regis Bar (and its famed bloody marys).
Other hotel features include a St. Regis Spa with 13 treatment rooms, a modern fitness center with top-of-the-line gym equipment, four swimming pools and beach access, a children and teens club and a teens club and St. Regis’ signature butler service.
Recently, Marriott’s luxury brands have been making waves in the Dominican Republic. The first Luxury Collection all-inclusive resort, Sanctuary Cap Cana, opened in 2023. Our review gave the property high marks, and while the St. Regis is sure to set a new standard of luxury in the area, you can’t deny that the all-inclusive nature of Sanctuary Cap Cana makes for a carefree vacation.
