Transition tile or something

I'm finishing this large room in my basement that doesn't have any flooring in it yet. There was no door and the people who tiled the hallway probably assumed that the door would open into the hallway, but I thought that was super stupid due to space constraints and I actually installed the door the other way around, so that it opens into the room. As a consequence, the floor under the door jamb that's visible from the outside doesn't have tiles now. I'm wondering, what would you guys do? The plan is to put carpet into that room. Should I just put carpet there so that there's a strip of carpet visible from the hallway when the door is closed? Some transition tile? Can't get the same tiles so it'd probably look random af. Any other ideas? submitted by /u/Wallaroo_Trail [link] [comments]
