Where to Watch the Met Gala 2025 Red Carpet? Everything to Know

This year's long-awaited Met Gala is finally here.

For 2025, the spotlight is moving away from the usual parade of couture gowns and womenswear, instead embracing a menswear focus. Its layered approach doesn't simply spotlight tailoring, but it also centers the Black dandy in a theme titled "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style." The dress code chosen for the evening is “Tailored for You," an invitation to personalized sartorial interpretation, designed to celebrate the art of bespoke cutting and individual expression.

Leading the evening's live broadcast will be a cast of well-known and beloved faces: the multifaceted Teyana Taylor, actor and producer LaLa Anthony, and comedian Ego Nwodim. The special correspondent on the red carpet will once again be Emma Chamberlain ready to gather the first impressions of the newly arrived stars and to tell the behind-the-scenes story of the gala with her usual irony.

Co-chairs of the event will be dapper as ever, including actor Colman Domingo, Formula 1 icon Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Pharrell Williams (who is also the current creative director of menswear at Louis Vuitton). Vogue's Anna Wintour is another chair, while LeBron James will serve as an honorary co-chair.

The exhibition, open from May 10 to October 26 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, explores the cultural and political influence of Black tailoring through twelve declinations of Afro-descendant dandyism. The curatorial project is signed by Andrew Bolton, the museum's head curator, in collaboration with Columbia University professor Monica Miller.

What Time Is the Met Gala?

The live broadcast will start at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time, offering viewers from all over the world the chance to watch in real time the arrival of the celebrities on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Arrivals may begin slightly earlier, closer to 5:30 p.m. However, that's no reason for concern as the biggest celebrities of the night tend to arrive on the later side.
